Charleston Sleigh Ride FAQ:
How much does it cost?
Adult thickets are $40 and Children (12 and under) are $30.
What is included?
Along with a boarding pass each passenger will be given a "Thriller" Travel Mug
filled with Hot Chocolate.
How long is the ride?
The ride lasts a little over an hour.
What time should we be there?
You will need to be at the marina at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled
departure time.
Can we bring drinks or food?
We do not allow food or drinks on board, except of course the "Thriller" Travel Mugs that were filled with Hot Chocolate when we gave
them to you. We don't check what is in the mugs when you actually board.
Is the ride wet?
Even though it might be the Christmas Season, Thriller is still a boat, so yes you might get wet. However, getting wet is mostly dependant upon the wind and if the wind is strong enough that you would likely get wet, we will reschedule the ride. Also the blankets we provide are waterproof to keep you dry from any spray that might make it into the boat.
What should I wear?
Dress warmer than you would if you were planning on taking a stroll downtown. While Thriller will not run as fast as it does during its off-shore tours, it will still be going fast creating a "Wind Chill". Warm hats are recommended.
Should I bring a camera?
Yes! but remember it will be dark so to take pictures of your friends and family
you will need a flash. Taking pictures of houses and lights will depend on
your camera's capabilities.
What weather conditions will cause the ride to be cancelled?
If it is raining or the wind is blowing over 15 knots (18 Miles per hour), we
will not go out. You will receive a call from Pegasus Charters if the ride
will be cancelled.
Does the Sleigh Ride go off-shore?
No, the Sleigh ride is a different tour from our normal off-shore "Morris Island
Lighthouse" tour. We will be staying in the harbor were it is drier and
safer for us to operate at night.
Can children under 3 take the Sleigh Ride?
Yes, because we will not be going off-shore; tickets are not required, and for
obvious reasons they will not be given the hot chocolate or the mug.
I missed the boat, can I get a refund?
Sorry, no refunds if you missed the boat.
CAUTION! This tour is not suitable for infants, pregnant women, people with back, neck or heart problems, or any person that has any serious medical condition! If you are not sure please consult your doctor. Pegasus Charters reserves the right to deny a ride to anyone who they feel may cause harm to themselves or others.
For safety reasons, high heels are not allowed on the dock or boat.
